Mission

Learn about our Church's desire to make an Impact

We are here to proclaim Christ to the world through our worship and through our relationships! {Jn. 20:21; Mark 10:45; 1 Pet. 2:9; Acts 1:8}

Explanation: We believe that the church as the body of Christ has the responsibility to share his message to the world. We think that is done in public and private worship as each member praises God at home, in church, and throughout their lives. We also believe that our relationships both with those in our church and those who are not yet in our church are opportunities to share Christ.

Purpose

We exist to always radiate the glory of God. {Eph. 1:3-14; 3:10,21}

Explanation: We believe that the purpose of all creation is to proclaim the glory of God. We join with the creation and with other churches to reflect the glory of God to the world, as people were meant to do as the images of God.

Values

We depend on the Holy Spirit to live the life of Christ through us {Gal. 2:20} so that people are discipled in local churches that embrace the following core values:

     1. The authority and centrality of Christ Jesus our Lord. {Eph. 3:21; Col. 1:27; Mark 8:34,35}

           * Christ magnified in every service & program

           * Christ magnified in our individual lives through the practice of the spiritual disciplines

     2.  Accurate proclamation of God's Word. {2 Tim. 3:16-17; 4:2; Acts 2:42; Col 3:16}

           * Unified commitment to Biblical truth (doctrine) resulting in the cognitive equipping of the saints for ministry

     3.  Truth-based, Spirit-led Worship. {Jn. 4:23,24; Ps. 95:6; Deut. 6:5}

           * Heartfelt expressions (both corporate and personal) of awe, fear, confession, praise, thankfulness, joy, and adoration in our exaltation of God

     4.  Joyful obedience to the Word of God. {Eph. 1:4; Jn. 15:9-11; Joshua 1:8}

           * Increasing practical holiness in thought, speech, and actions (eg. practice of confession, repentance, and forgiveness)

     5.  Love-based service to the body of Christ. {Acts 2:42-47; 25:34-40; Jn. 13:35; Mk. 10:45}

           * Obeying Christ's commands to minister to the physical needs of one another

           * Effective utilization of spiritual gifts to encourage and edify the body

           * Sharing in the joy and comfort of true fellowship

     6.  Love-based service to the world. {Matt. 28:19,20; Mk 10:45; Jn. 20:21}

           * Effective evangelism and disciple-making through a variety of need-oriented relationships and programs (including ministering to the physical needs of unbelievers {Matt. 25:31-46}

     7.  Fervent prayer. {1 Thess. 5:16-18; James 5:13-18; Psalm 141:2; Daniel 9:3; Mark 9:29; Acts 6:4; Luke 22:45; Romans 12:12; 1 Cor. 7:5; Col. 4:2}

           * A firm conviction (faith) that anything done apart from the blessing and empowerment of God is ultimately useless and that the clearest ministry direction will come as we wait on the Lord
